Worship

Worship Service at 10 am every Sunday.

Inclement Weather Update! In the event services are cancelled, an announcement will be posted on www.news14.com and on the St. Stephen’s Facebook page.

As part of the Anglican Communion, we join with millions of Christians around the world who are linked together by the tenets of Scripture, Tradition and Reason.

Holy Eucharist Rite II

The service begins with a gathering prayer, the "collect" and with a hymn. We hear lessons, or readings, from the Old Testament, the New Testament epistles, or letters, the Acts of the Apostles, or the Book of Revelation, and finally a reading from the Gospels. Responses include the sermon (homily), recitation of the Nicene Creed and the prayers. After offering money, bread and wine, we give thanks for God's creation and redemption of the world through Jesus Christ, using the words in the Gospel that Jesus used at the Last Supper. At the end of the service, we pray for the strength and inspiration to go into the world "to love and serve the Lord."

Morning Prayer Rite II

This service takes place usually twice monthly and is conducted by our Lay Worship Leaders. We hear lessons or readings from the Old Testament, the New Testament epistles, or letters, the Acts of the Apostles, or the Book of Revelation, and finally a reading from the Gospels.

Special Services
